Merry Christmas

December is here and in my life, it’s been the month God has shown Himself strong on my behalf. Let me boast on the Lord for a minute: December 2006 - brand new luxury debt free vehicle December 2010 - new house December 2012 - surprise day of beauty sponsored by a group of ladies December 2015 - won a corporate global award at my job December 2017 - the man who’d become my husband let it be known he was pursuing me to marry me While God is not bound by time, the manifestations of His goodness are evidence to never count Him in ANY calendar year. Especially in 2020. I’ve seen comments about people being ready to hurry up and get to 2021.  We still have twenty-four more days for God’s glory to shine! Think about it: you’ve made it this far into a year that has had our heads turning and spinning very which way. That’s praiseworthy alone! Hallelujah! Proverbs 17:22 says “A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.” When we’ve had a tough year, it might be

Unclogged and Uprooted

Unclogged and Uprooted

For a few months, my drain in my tub was constantly getting clogged up.  I could hear the water running down the drain but it ran very slowly. I’d pour a bottle of drain cleaner down the drain and fix the issue.  For a little while, the drain would work again just fine—until the next time.  The drain in the other bathroom worked well so I knew it was a problem isolated to THIS drain.  Finally, I got really irritated with it and decided to get to the root of the issue.  I asked the Lord to tell me what the problem was.  And He did. I snaked the drain, with a homemade snake (reason number 1,578 why one should have at least one wire hanger in the house, of which I had NONE) and I pulled out clumps of hair and other nonsense.  I ran the water and instantly, my water flowed down the drain like smooth sailing baby!

Matthew 15:13 NKJV says “But He answered and said, "Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.”  Many of us have “clogged drains” in our spirit.  We keep pouring “drain cleaners” in our spirits solve the problem.  Drain cleaner is meant to be a temporary solution, not a permanent way of living. The chemicals in drain cleaners are toxic and can eventually ruin your pipes.  What’s clogging your drain? What has been rooted in your spirit that is not of God? What’s keep God’s word from flowing freely through your life?  It is bitterness? Jealousy? Strife? Unforgiveness? Sin?  All of these will keep you clogged and backed up. God can’t do what He needs to do in your life without the freedom to move and flow freely in it. I beseech you to seek the Lord on what’s keeping you clogged.   Allow the Holy Spirit to go down and clean out the clutter and other nonsense in your spirit.  When you’re finally free and God is unhindered in your life, you will truly get to enjoy the fruit of the flow of Living Water!
